Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy in one-on-one and group settings within clinics and client homes
- Consistently implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Follow behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition protocols
- Engage clients in developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities
- Collect, record, and summarize accurate behavioral data during each session
- Complete session notes and enter documentation into the medical record promptly
- Communicate with caregivers and school personnel regarding client progress as directed by the supervising clinician
- Assist clinicians with client materials, assessments, and skill-acquisition activities
- Communicate observations, concerns, and client progress to supervisors
- Maintain client dignity, safety, and confidentiality
- Follow HIPAA requirements and all organizational policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- At least one year of professional childcare experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs
- Full availability Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- A genuine interest in supporting children with autism and growing within the ABA field
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Dependability, professionalism, and consistent attendance
- Ability to remain patient, flexible, and responsive in changing situations
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work respectfully with families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Comfort using technology, software programs, and electronic data-collection applications
- Current Registered Behavior Technician certification
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience providing ABA therapy or early-intervention services
- Previous experience as a Behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician, direct support professional, paraprofessional, childcare provider, or behavioral health technician
