the Clinical Psychologists/Intake works alongside psychometrists who provide dedicated assessment and test support, ensuring comprehensive and efficient evaluations. This role involves collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and clients to conduct remote, comprehensive, intake assessments, gather developmental, behavioral, and psychosocial history, determine medical necessity for autism evaluation in accordance with payor requirements, and identify the most appropriate assessment measures to be utilized during the diagnostic evaluation process.
We are looking for candidates interested in a W2 role. We have opportunities tailored to your schedule and preferences. Candidates must be licensed in Arizona, or otherwise willing to obtain Arizona licensure. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities
- Maintains consistent alignment with AXIS mission of advancing research and providing a lifetime of support for individuals with autism while putting our clients and their family members first on a day-in and day-out basis.
- Maintains primary focus upon work duties and results as well as client services needs with secondary focus on administrative tasks, while maintaining minimal distraction on achieving position goals by non-work-related responsibility and non-client service activities.
- Complies fully with all medical records and information privacy regulations, local, state and federal.
- Conduct intake appointments with clients and caregivers to review developmental history, current presenting concerns, behavioral health symptoms, and strengths of client to determine medical necessity of autism evaluation and co-occurring diagnoses.
- Complete prior authorization forms for payors in a timely manner determining measures that will need to be completed by client and caregivers and any complicating factors that would be considered.
- Assists in the selection of assessment materials and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of other experienced individuals, including Psychologists, Psychometrists, and more.
- Demonstrates professional leadership skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communications and relationships.
- Demonstrates the ability to regularly change priorities in order to accomplish all critical tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to ensure understanding by all affected individuals.
- Participate in monthly department meetings and/or ongoing training.
- Performs other special projects and duties as necessary and requested.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA-accredited Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology program is required.
- Arizona Licensed Clinical Psychologist who is eligible for enrollment with insurance companies.
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Prior experience conducting intake appointments with clients and their caregivers required.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with diverse backgrounds, human capabilities and limitations, and cultures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active AZ Fingerprint clearance card.
- Interest in service to individuals with specialized and occasionally complex needs.
